An exploration of West Coast landscapes framed

within silhouettes of the fauna found within reach.

Welcome to Faunascapes, an artistic journey that invites you to explore the harmonious coexistence of the fauna and wilderness that surround us. Here, each original acrylic painting by Heidi Goddard is a vibrant celebration of the West Coast's breathtaking views, intricately intertwined with the silhouettes of local animals. Drawing inspiration from the rugged mountains, serene coastlines, and lush pacific rainforests that surrounded her, Heidi creates pieces that invite viewers to see the landscapes through the eyes of the animals that reside here.

In her work, the familiar forms of local fauna emerge as guardians of their natural land. The interplay of colour, texture and light within her paintings, captures the essence of these environments, inspiring viewers to immerse themselves in the memories and experiences forged during their own explorations. Heidi’s creative approach evokes a sense of place, reminding us all of the unique ecosystems these animals call home.

As you explore Faunascapes, you will discover a collection that not only celebrates the beauty of our surrounding but also reflects both the grandeur and freedom associated with the wildlife that inhabit the land. Each piece serves as a reminder of our shared responsibility to cherish and protect these incredible ecosystems. Join us on this artistic adventure and celebrate the stories and adventures that lie within each painting.

About the Artist, Heidi Goddard:

– Acrylic artist, west coast resident, classic middle child and mother of a wild one.

“Many years ago I was gifted a little package from my Grandfather that included his watercolour books, two partial paintings and a collection of brushes and pallet knives. After my father passed away, I was in search of a creative outlet and brought these heirlooms out of safekeeping. I was compelled to pick up some new watercolour paints, review my Grandfathers books and thus began a persistent passion for art. As my style evolved, I transitioned from watercolour to acrylic but my love of nature has remained and many elements within my earlier watercolours have emerged in my current style. The use of bright colours, layered landscapes, combining animals in their habitats and painting within silhouettes have remained recurring themes on this journey.”
