Coastal Wolf - Mount Baker, Takaya
Prints from the Cerulean Collection by Heidi Goddard
Takaya is an acrylic painting of the ‘Lone Wolf’ that lived on a small archipelago off the coast of Victoria for eight years. Having few significant land mammals available to hunt or fresh water to drink on the islands, Takaya survived almost exclusively on marine mammals and was known to dig wells to find water during the dry summers. His silhouette in this painting encompasses Discovery and Chatham Islands with his view of Mount Baker in the distance.
- Canvas Prints:
Locally printed on archival quality canvas.
Stretched on sustainably sourced, kiln dried, 1.5” deep stretcher bars which provide a solid profile on the wall.
Museum grade satin varnish has been applied to protect the canvas from curious fingertips, dust and UV damage.
Signed, with hanging hardware attached, this west coast created and inspired treasure is ready to hang in your home.
- Paper Prints:
Locally printed on 100 year certified archival, heavy weight paper.
Signed, dated and packaged between ridged cardboard for safe transportation.
The artist recommends collectors have paper prints professionally framed behind UV protective glass to preserve the prints.
